WHAT ABOUT ONE WHO FEELS THEIR PRAYERS ARE NOT HEARD?

§ Regarding the objection of the one who affirms that he doesn’t pray anymore, because in the past he used to pray a lot and his prayers were not heard, one should remember that God sometimes delays in listening to us or does not
grant us what we ask Him in order:

• to verify our fidelity, constancy and trust in Him
• to allow us to verify the authenticity, the opportunity or the necessity of what we ask Him, and especially the conformity of our requests to the will of God the Father
• to strengthen our Faith
• not to give us something that is not our true and maximum good: God knows us and loves us more than we know ourselves and love ourselves
• to reserve something better for us and more useful to us, which will be
given to us subsequently.  In fact, He sees better, well ahead and in depth with respect to us.
